DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Luc Raijmakers\n\nThe MAS4TE project aims to support
  the energy transition in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine (EMR) region by enabling
  citizens and local energy communities to participate in local and cross-b
 order energy trading. As the project is in the middle of its development p
 hase\, we would like to engage with experts\, operators\, policy makers\, 
 and researchers\, and share insights into the system we build to assure co
 mpliance with real conditions in the region\nWhy this workshop?\nThe EMR r
 egion produces a high share of renewable electricity\, yet many areas face
  grid saturation and difficulty absorbing green power. Local battery stora
 ge (stationary or mobile) is becoming essential to balance the grid\, unlo
 ck flexibility\, and increase value from renewables. However\, smaller pla
 yers such as prosumers and local communities are still largely excluded fr
 om energy markets.\n This workshop offers an open forum to discuss:\n-  
          How (small-scale) storage can be included in local energy ma
 rkets\n-           What stands in the way of using batteries to abso
 rb excess solar and reduce grid congestion\n-           How cross-bo
 rder trading rules and policies can be improved\n-           Which t
 echnical and economic models could work for the EMR’s cities\, towns\, a
 nd rural areas\n-           “Living Lab Energy Campus” tour on J
