DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) at F
 orschungszentrum Jülich\, Germany\, organizes a two-week laboratory cours
 e in neutron scattering in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University. The fi
 rst week consists of lectures and exercises in Jülich\, while the second 
 week is a hands-on training at a neutron research reactor offering differe
 nt neutron scattering experiments to every participant. This year the seco
 nd week takes place at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble\, Fran
 ce.\nOur course aims at Master and PhD students. All selected applicants w
 ill receive free accommodation and half-board\, alongside with financial s
 upport to travel expenses.\nThe lectures provide an introduction to neutro
 n scattering and instrumentation with techniques spanning\n\nDiffraction\n
 Small angle scattering\nPolarization analysis and magnetic scattering\nRef
 lectivity\nInelastic and quasielastic scattering \nFundamental neutron ph
 ysics\nNeutron and X-ray tomography\nScientific computing related to neutr
 on scattering\n\nIn the neutron experiments\, a broad scope of the instrum
 ental diffraction and spectroscopy suite of ILL is presented to the partic
