The JCNS Workshop 2024 will be held in Tutzing, Germany on October 8th to 11th, 2024 and it will bring together experts in neutron scattering and other scattering techniques to discuss present status, ongoing developments as well as future perspectives in the field of functional interfaces.

Interfaces play an important role in a variety of applications, both in soft matter, quantum materials as well as in the food industry and energy storage devices. In particular, functional interfaces are a cross-cutting area of research with neutrons and other scattering techniques in science and industry and they offer a unique opportunity to create a networking event with an interdisciplinary scientific program at the cutting edge of science and technology.

We warmly welcome contributions on the following topics:

  • functional magnetic thin films and heterostructures
  • nanoparticles
  • bio-interfaces
  • emulsions
  • interfaces in energy materials
  • hard-soft interfaces
  • industrial applications

Talks and posters will be presented by renowned international researchers in the field to demonstrate state-of-the-art methods and applications.

We look forward to welcoming you in Tutzing!

The conference is organized by the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS), Forschungszentrum Jülich.

We would like to advise you that during the event, photos could be taken that may later be used as public relations material (e.g. in press releases, on our homepage, in reports and advertising material). We may also allow others (e.g. funding and research organizations) to use the material for similar purposes.
