From the Airport

There are two possibilities.

• You take the S-Bahn (=suburbian train) no. 8 to the stop “Ismaning” and change there for the bus no. 230 to “Garching-Forschungszentrum”. Leave the bus at Garching.
• You take the S-Bahn (=suburbian train) no. 1 or 8 to the city center “Marienplatz”, change to U-Bahn (Metro) no. 6 to "Garching-Forschungszentrum". Leave the U-Bahn at station "Garching".

From Munich Main Rail Station

• You take the S-Bahn (=suburbian train) (any number) from "Hauptbahnhof" (=Main Station) to  “Marienplatz”, change to U-Bahn (Metro) no. 6 to "Garching-Forschungszentrum". Leave the U-Bahn at station "Garching".

By car

Take the Motorway A9 (Munich-Berlin), leave at exit 70 ("Garching-Nord") or exit 71 ("Garching-Süd") and navigate towards the city center of Garching.
