The JCNS Workshop 2025 will be held in Tutzing, Germany on October 7th to 9th, 2025 and it will be devoted to the latest developments in the fundamental research of quantum materials both experimentally as well as theoretically with a focus on topology and frustration, magnetic nanoparticles, as well as superconductivity and magnetism in low dimensions. The goal of the workshop is to bring together experts in the field, users of neutron or other scattering techniques, and theoreticians to discuss recent developments and trends in the understanding of the magnetic properties of quantum materials. Particular interest will be given to the modelling of quantum magnetic systems and the interpretation of experimental data.
We warmly welcome contributions on the following topics:
- Frustrated spin systems
- Low dimensional quantum magnetism
- Unconventional superconductivity
- Quantum materials under extreme conditions
- Topological magnetism and magnons
- Emergent phenomena in functional and nano-magnets
- Models of quantum magnetic systems
State-of-the-art methods and applications will be presented during the talk and the poster sessions.
We look forward to welcoming you in Tutzing!
The workshop is organized by the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) and the institute for Quantum Theory of Materials (PGI-1) of the Forschungszentrum Jülich.
We would like to advise you that during the event, photos could be taken that may later be used as public relations material (e.g. in press releases, on our homepage, in reports and advertising material). We may also allow others (e.g. funding and research organizations) to use the material for similar purposes.
